What Is Paus

PAUS helps modern Indian women build smaller, calmer wardrobes they'll actually love wearing.

Our collections feature thoughtful designs in handwoven and organic cotton, crafted to become timeless favourites you'll reach for year after year.

Most pieces are one of a kind due to the nature of handwoven fabrics. When they're gone, they're gone.

The Story Of Paus

Hi,

I'm so glad you're here.

A few years ago, while living in Paris and travelling across Europe, I found myself constantly drawn back to the clothes that felt most like home. A khadi cotton shirt. A dress stitched from my mother's saree. A hand-block printed jacket. An ikat top collected on a trip through India.

Surrounded by global fashion, it was these pieces rooted in Indian craftsmanship but effortless, that I reached for again and again.

PAUS, meaning 'rain' in Marathi, was born from that realization.

It is my honest attempt to celebrate the beauty of our textile heritage through a modern lens: timeless silhouettes, natural fabrics, and thoughtful details designed for everyday life. Pieces that feel calm, comfortable, and quietly special.

I hope they become the garments you return to, season after season.

Founder, PAUS
